Abdominal Fat

Although it is true that you can’t beat belly flab without working on the rest of your body as well, the truth about that spare tire you’ve been sporting is that it is far more dangerous to your health than fat located on other areas of your body.  As such, it is really important that you find out how to lose weight around the midsection.  By slimming down your waist you can gain a new lease on life and help prevent a host of dangerous health issues down the road. While fat is fat in some respects, experts agree that not all fat is the same.  Abdominal fat, and especially the subcutaneous fat stored deep in the tissues around your midsection is more dangerous than fat stored elsewhere on the body.  So while your hips and buttocks may cause you grief when it comes to slimming down, it is your belly fat that should be of primary concern.  Fat location matters.  Belly fat surrounds important organs like your liver and pancreas.  Storing fat around these organs endangers them.  It also leads to a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and other killers.  The fat stored around these organs can interfere with their ability to properly metabolize cholesterol by interfering with circulation and other functions.  Given these facts, how then can you go about ridding yourself of this fat?New research actually shows that not only is diet important to reducing that waistline, but exercise is likewise essential.  A study conducted at the University of North Carolina at the School of Medicine there showed that women who utilized both diet and exercise together reduced fat-cell size by about eighteen percent.  This is in contrast to those who used only calorie counting techniques.  These women, did lose weight but failed to reduce fat-cell size.In order to lose weight you need to reduce your caloric intake.  However, as this study shows this is not enough to reduce your risk of health complications should you fail to exercise as well.  In order to blast that belly flab therefore a proper diet and exercise program need to be developed together.Crunches won’t in and of themselves get rid of your belly flab.  You’ll need to focus on the whole body in order to melt away the pounds around the stomach.  Exercising for thirty or more minutes a day and following a healthy diet plan are therefore the only ways to really reduce inches.  By adding exercise to a low calorie diet you’ll be sure to blast away the bulge and lower your risks for serious health issues.

Body clock: Vogue Williams Model

8amThe alarm goes off and I wake up starving.

I get out of bed, wash my face and go down to have my breakfast. I have sweetened granola topped with sliced banana, grapes and yogurt. I make myself a cup of tea with low-fat milk. I start doing my make-up while I’m eating. I normally wash my hair the night before so I can have the extra time in bed!

8.30am

After eating, I shower and then get dressed in the clothes that I’d laid out last night. I do my hair, grab the bag I’ve packed with the few different outfits for today’s press call, jump into the car, and drive into town.

9.30am

I arrive early and have time to grab a coffee with one sugar and low-fat milk.
